THE BIG READ description

Description of the BIG READ

Program Description:

The BIG READ is a program of live daily readings from H. J. Harris' book "Solving The Race Issue In America" by high school, college students & citizens. There will be 20 live online sessions starting Monday, February 1, 2021, continuing Monday through Friday, 1PM – 2PM through February 26, 2021.

The goal of THE BIG READ is to actively engage students - especially during this stage of remote learning - by having them read and learn about America’s legacy of racism.

Upon registration, each participant will receive a complimentary electronic copy of “Solving The Race Issue In America” to immediately start the learning process.

These readings and the discussions that follow will provide key information and a fresh perspective needed to begin the healing process of solving racism in this country. This book reveals historical and current truths about racism in America and offers a spiritual solution and process for curing this cancer on the soul of America.

A major objective of THE BIG READ is to prepare the next generation of leaders to address the challenges that exist in a divided nation and determine where do we go from here – a way forward.

Corporate and institutional sponsors are providing support for the participants to encourage them in positive ways to be a part of the solution.

The live readings will start on Monday, February 1, 2021 and continue daily, Monday through Friday, throughout February 26, 2021 – the last Friday in Black History Month. Each session takes place 1PM – 2PM, with live reading followed by discussions and Q & A.

At the completion of the BIG READ, each participant will receive a personal Certificate of Participation with sponsorship information included.

The live readings will be recorded and, at the completion of the BIG READ, will be assembled into a complete audiobook with names of participants, sponsors, logos etc. A videobook showing the participants, sponsors, logos etc. BIG READ audiobooks and videobooks will be provided to the sponsors.
